This is Boston, Not L.A.

Boston Hardcore Sampler

The Boston scene is smoking right now. The bands on this album are all great. The first side blitzes with songs by JERRY'S KIDS, and the F.U.s (FUCKUPS). The second side had songs by the FREEZE and GANG GREEN. My personal favorites are the songs by the Freeze. These guys can play!! Their lyrics are great too.

One would think that a conservative town like Boston couldn't possibly have a hardcore scene but just listen to this album and you will see. The G.I.'s, from D.C., just played there and John Stabb, the lead singer, told me that Boston has one of the coolest scenes in North America.

My only complaint with this album is that it has no music by S.S. (Society System) DECONTROL, a band I've heard so much about but have heard nothing from. But I suppose that's my problem, not theirs. Buy this album if you're into America hardcore and if you're not -- get it anyway.
