A Country Fit for Heroes
No Future
I got this record when I visited the States a while back. It's put out by No Future, the same outfit that puts out Blitz and Peter and the T.T. Babies. It's advertised as "11 Punk & Skin Bands: 12 Trax" and that's exactly what you get. This stuff is blistering. No one has heard of any of these bands except maybe for Attak but that shouldn't stop you from buying it if you can find it. Ask the people at Earful [Records] to order it for you. It gives you an idea of what's up in Great Britain these days. The bands on this are (in order): Blitzkrieg, The Violators, Hostile Youth, The Samples, One Way System, Attak, Protest, Crux, Distortion, Pseudo Sadists, and Chaotic Youth. The Violators lead singer sounds like Pauline Murray (ex of Penetration). The Samples steal the guitar riff from "Behind the Door" by the Circle Jerks (or maybe it's the other way around). All in all it's a good buy except for the lack of liner notes and pictures of these groups but still worth getting.
