Government Issue

Make an Effort

This is out of print temporarily but will invade the store shelves again really soon with new packaging. It's a four-song seven-inch which was recorded about two years ago but only released recently. Highlights are "Teenager in a Box" and "Sheer Terror". Available from Fountain of Youth.

Government Issue

Definitely one of the best records of 1983. This version of G.I. saw Tom Lyle on guitar and Mitch Parker on bass. John Stabb's lyrics are as funny as ever but they still pack a punch. Songs like "Insomniac" and "Here's the Rope" are gems while "Partyline" stands out as the best anti-gossip song ever recorded. Available from Fountain of Youth.
